Plan to join AAUW and CARE (one of the largest relief and humanitarian organizations in the world) and more than 120,000 people in 400 theaters across the US to celebrate International Women's Day on Thursday, March 5. CARE is hosting a one-night event featuring the theatrical premiere of A Powerful Noise, an acclaimed documentary that follows three extraordinary women in Vietnam, Bosnia, and Mali. These women are each overcoming gender barriers and rising up to claim a voice in their societies by fighting AIDS, rebuilding communities, and educating girls. Gurnee Mills Cinema is one of the theaters screening this special film.
