  • The compelling documentary Finding Vivian Maier (2013) will be discussed by the At the Movies interest group at 7pm, Monday, November 9.

Welcome to our new year!
 
 
  • The Reflections on Reading interest group will kick off the year with a discussion of Donna Tartt's novel The Goldfinch at 7pm, Thursday, September 10.

  • If you want to learn more about AAUW, please come to our Saturday, September 12, general meeting at the Gurnee Police Facility (Washington & O'Plaine). The potluck brunch will begin at 9am.  Then we will watch and discuss the AAUW video One AAUW, which will update us on AAUW's initiatives.  As always, this general meeting is open to the public.
 
  • The At the Movies interest group will discuss the film Osama (2003) at its 7pm, Monday, September 14, meeting.
 
  • "Why Redistricting Matters" will be the topic of Christopher Butler's presentation at 7pm, Wednesday, September 16, at the Park Ridge Library.  Butler is associated with the group Independent Maps.
 
  • The film I Am a Girl will be shown at AMC Showplace 16 in Rockford at 7:30pm, Monday, September 21.  Reserve your ticket at http://gathr.us/screening/11613
 
  • The Travelogue interest group will learn about "Basel to Amsterdam" at its7pm, Tuesday, September 22, meeting.
