- Sponsored by the Midwest Liaison, American Association of University Women (AAUW) National STEM Task Force, Engaging Girls in STEM will be held on Saturday, November 2, from 9:30-11am at the Des Plaines campus of Oakton Community College. The presenter will be Gerry Oberman, Ph.D.
- The Exploring Culture interest group of the Waukegan Area Branch of AAUW will visit the Driehaus Museum in Chicago on Saturday, November 2.
- The At the Movies interest group will discuss The Secret Life of Words (Spanish, 2005) at 7pm, Monday, November 4.
- Professional actress and storyteller Paddy Lynn will present Meet Emily Dickenson, the Belle of Amherst at the WAB general meeting at 7pm, Tuesday, November 5. The meeting, which will be held in the community room of the Gurnee Police Facility, is open to the public.
- Honolulu (Alan Brennert) will be discussed by the Reflections on Reading interest group at 7pm, Thursday, November 7.
- The Book Review interest group will meet at 1pm on Thursday, November 21.
