- David Rhodes' novel Driftless will be discussed by the Reflections on Reading interest group at 7pm, Thursday, May 5.
- THE SKY'S THE LIMIT! Join us at the branch general meeting,7pm, Tuesday, May 10, at the Gurnee Police Facility Community Room. Four local women who have begun their own businesses - Shelley Lazarus, Nancy Stolbom, Elisabeth Hubbard, and Rita Agueta - will be the panel, moderated by Susan Rose, another entrepreneur. As always, the general meeting is open to the public.
- The Travelogue interest group's end-of-year potluck will be held at 6pm, Tuesday, May 24. The evening's program will feature a member's trip to Venice.
