  • The Reflections on Reading interest group meets at 1pm, Thursday, November 1, to discuss Jamie Ford's novel Love and Other Consolation Prizes.
 

Vote Tuesday, November 6!
 
  • The 2017 film All the Money in the World will be discussed by the At the Movies interest group at 1pm on Monday, November 12.
 
  • Join us at the 7pm, Tuesday, November 13, branch general meeting at the Gurnee Police Facility community room.  Martina Mathisen will present Sacagawea: Adventures with Lewis and Clark.  As usual, the general meeting is open to the public.

Plans for the upcoming year will be discussed at the branch board meeting & potluck on Thursday, August 2.  Dinner will be at 6pm; the meeting will begin at 7:30pm.  All branch members are invited.


The Lake County Women's Coalition will present "One Woman, One Vote,"
a documentary film, in honor of equality day.

John Jakes and his novel Homeland will be discussed at the 1pm, Thursday, June 14, meeting of the Reflections on Reading interest group.  Favorite books for summer reading will be presented.

MAY 2018


The Reflections on Reading interest group will meet at 1pm, Thursday, May 3, to discuss Maria Duenos's novel The Time in Between.

Genius (2016), with Colin Firth as editor Maxwell Perkins and Jude Law at author Thomas Wolfe, will be discussed at the 7pm, Monday, May 7, meeting of the At the Movies interest group.

Join us at the 7pm, Tuesday, May 8, branch general meeting - open to the public - at the Gurnee Police Facility community room.  Erik Wright, education specialist at the National Museum of the American Sailor in Great Lakes, will speak about significant contributions of women to the Naval Station at Great Lakes.  Hope you can make it!

The branch board will meet on Thursday, May 24, at 7pm.

The Travelogue interest group's annual pot luck will take place at 6pm, Tuesday, May 29.

Equal Means Equal, is a documentary supporting adoption of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to the U.S. Constitution.   Following the screening will be a panel discussion about equal rights for women and the impact of the film on viewers.
