APRIL 2021

•  The Reflections on Reading interest group will meet at 1pm, Wednesday, April 7, via Zoom to discuss Michele Obama's book Becoming.

• The movie Trumbo will be discussed at the 1pm, Monday, April 12, Zoom meeting of the At the Movies interest group.
  

• This month's WAB general meeting will be the AAUW-IL District 5 14th Annual Fellows Presentation.  We will join other branches in hearing four outstanding Fellows and Grantees will talk about their projects.  This will take place virtually (via Zoom) at 1pm, Saturday, April 17. 

• The branch board will meet via Zoom on Thursday, April 22, at 7pm. 

• It's time for the state convention!  AAUW-IL, Inc., is pleased to present the following speakers via Zoom on April 23 & 24:  Michelle Duster, great-granddaughter of Ida B. Wells; Gloria Blackwell, AAUW vice president for Programs and Advancement; Kimberly Stratton, engineer who will focus on STEM; and Dr. Gretchen Goldman, whose topic is "The Impact of the Pandemic on Women."
