- Summer Hours (French, 2008) will be discussed by the At the Movies interest group at 7pm, Monday, May 2, at the home of the hostess.
- The Reflections on Reading interest group will meet at 1pm, Thursday, May 5, at the home of the hostess, to discuss Lake Effect: Two Sisters and a Town's Toxic Legacy. Author Nancy Nichols grew up in Waukegan, the town refered to in the title of the book.
- Green Building will be the topic addressed by Jean O'Brien Gibbons at our 7pm, Tuesday, May 10, general meeting at the Gurnee Police Facility (Washington Street & O'Plaine Road). This meeting is open to the public, and everyone is invited to come learn about progress that is being made with energy efficiency and sustainable design.
- The Book Review interest group will meet at 1pm, Thursday, May 19, at the home of the hostess.
- The Exploring Culture interest group will go to the Kenosha Civil War Museum on Monday, May 23, to view the exhibit Bodices, Bonnets, and Weeds--Civil War & Mid-Victorian Fashions.
- A member's trip to Holland & Belgium will be revisited after the Travelogue interest group's annual pot luck supper at 6pm, Tuesday, May 24, at the home of the hostess.
- The branch board will meet on Thursday, May 26, at 7pm, at the home of the hostess.
