FEBRUARY 2012

  • The Paris Wife, a novel about Hadley Hemmingway by Paula McLain, will be discussed by the Reflections on Reading interest group at 7pm, Thursday, February 2, at the home of the hostess.

  • The German film Gloomy Sunday (1999) will be discussed at the 7pm, Monday, February 6, meeting of the At the Movies interest group at the home of the hostess.

  • Lake County attorney Doug Stiles will give a presentation on Abraham Lincoln's gold pocket watch, inscribed by Stiles' great-great-grandfather. Join us at the 7pm, Tuesday, February 21, general meeting. Open to the public, this event will take place at the Gurnee Police Facility community room (Washington Street & O'Plaine Road).

  • The branch board will meet at 7pm, Thursday, February 23, at the home of the hostess.

  • The Travelogue interest group will meet at 7pm, Tuesday, February 28, at the home of the hostess. The topic will be the Maritime Provinces of Canada.
